I never heard of a Pop-Up Restaurant. It sounded like dinner in a camper (you know, those that travel flat and then “pop up”.) But, when Michael Giletto cooks, I eat. He’s a great chef and I trust that anything he puts in front of me is going to be awesome. And it was. By the way, Michael is also my food stylist. He was assisted by Chef Michael Scipione of Sano Catering.
Dinner was not as expected. I thought that since we were in a “Pop Up Restaurant” that it would actually take place in a restaurant. But instead, it took place in a cooking school in Haddonfield, New Jersey called In The Kitchen. What a great little place. Dinner consisted of filet tartare with roasted pear (the first time I ate beef that wasn’t
cooked), salad with his secret recipe black ash (yum), Amaretto compressed watermelon, gnocchi with roasted garlic and black truffle (my favorite dish of the evening),
trout, and a deconstructed tiramisu for dessert. Wine was plentiful but, sadly , I do not partake.

Thanks for these lovely photos. I enjoy seeing this sort of presentation.
Thank you for the kind words. I visited your site as well and you’ve described yourself as an amateur photographer. There is nothing amateur looking about your work…it’s beautiful.
