When I first started in photography, there was no Internet. There weren’t even personal computers. A portfolio was a leather bound book or a box that you carried around, filled with your best work. My, have things changed.
Portfolios have turned into iPads and websites. I still have a 11×14 leather binder filled with 50 of my favorite images but, nobody has ever seen it (outside my family and friends who are forced to see it at every occasion.) All of my work has come via my website – an online portfolio.
Enter photo books. After making a few photo books of my vacation images, I’ve discovered that its really fun and rewarding to make a portfolio photo book and keep it up to date. I think that I have put way too many images in my photo book but, it was easier to do that then decide on what to include and what not to include. So, here is a link to my latest and greatest photo book.
To best view the book, maximize your window, click on the link above and then click on the EYEBALL icon (View Book). To turn the page, click on the bottom right corner of the book. (Sorry, the online book requires FLASH so, no iPads or iPhones.)
One thing that is REALLY NICE about these photo books is that I can print them or just view them online. They can also be shared and viewed by everyone.

Sorry about the incorrect link to the photo book. It should work now.
Jerry, your portfolio book is stunning! I love your food photos and can understand why someone would hire you to help promote their food business. You really are an amazing photographer.
